FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Cole Wilson scored four goals as Fayetteville routed Columbus 9-3 on Tuesday morning.
Wilson scored the first goal of the game at the 3;20 mark. He followed with two in the second period and another in the final period.
Shawn Bates, Louis Belisle and Andy Bathgate scored for Columbus.
Shannon Szabados played the first periods in goal for the Snakes. She gave up seven goals in 23 shots. Brandon Jaeger stopped seven of nine shots in the third period.
With the loss, Columbus remained in eighth place in the nine-team SPHL with 28 points (11-15-6). Louisiana is in ninth with 27, while Macon is in sixth with 29.
Columbus, which has lost three straight, plays at Knoxville on Friday.
