Columbus beats Knoxville in shootout
Columbus let a lead slip away but rallied to win over Knoxville in a shootout on Friday night.
Tyler Henry and Dylen McKinlay scored in the shootout for the Cottonmouths. Meanwhile goalie Brandon Jaeger stopped all four shots he faced.
Ben O’Quinn scored an unassited goal at 14:25 of the first prriod to give the Snakes a lead.
Knoxville scored a pair of goals to take a 2-1 lead late in the third period.
Andy Willigar tied it for the Snakes at 18:10 on a power play.
Jaeger stopped 31 of 33 shots during regulation.
The Snakes host Pensacola on Sunday at 4 p.m.
