Columbus goalie Brandon Jaeger makes SPHL All-Rookie team

Columbus goalie Brandon Jaeger was named to the SPHL All-Rookie team this week.

He finished tied for second among rookie goaltenders with 14 wins, was second in shootout wins with three and third in saves with 1,083.

Jaeger finished with a 14-16-2 record as she allowed 2.78 goals per game.

The Cottonmouths, who failed to qualify for the SPHL playoffs for the first time, did not have anyone make the All-SPHL first or second team.

The six-man All-Rookie team was voted on by the league’s coaches, general managers and media.
