Man pronounced dead after Fourth Avenue shooting; large crowd gathered at scene
Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Charles Newton confirmed a man is dead after a Tuesday morning shooting near 35th Street and Fourth Avenue.
Maj. Gil Slouchick said the death was the result of a shooting. A homicide unit has been called to the scene.
No word yet on suspects. The investigation is still in the early stages.
A large crowd gathered at the scene while police worked on the investigation. Multiple squad cars and ambulances were also on the scene.
