After months of renovations, this new restaurant is set to open in Phenix City

After almost a year of renovations, this Phenix City restaurant is preparing to open.

Saborcito Mexican Cocina is scheduled to open June 27 at 11 a.m. It’s located at 3462 Crosswinds Drive, Suite C, off Highway 431, across from Chattahoochee Valley Community College and Café 431.

To celebrate the grand opening, the restaurant is offering free meals to the first 30 customers, according to their announcement on Facebook, plus a 25% discount on the entire menu, not including alcoholic beverages.

“This has been a wild ride, and we’re so grateful for every one of you who have followed along, asked about us, encouraged us, and waited patiently for this day,” the announcement says.

Owners Jose Altamirano Jr and Modesto Crecencio Torres sent a message to the Ledger-Enquirer in November, previewing what customers can expect when they open.

“At Saborcito, guests can look forward to authentic Mexican-style seafood, fusion dishes, unique, strong margaritas, and all the classic Mexican restaurant favorites served in a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere — all without breaking the bank,” Altamirano and Torres wrote in the message.
